REPurpose showcased its innovative solutions at the Touch Base event
Although the REPurpose project officially concluded on 31 August 2026, its results continue to be shared with wider audiences, supporting the dissemination and potential uptake of the solutions developed.
As part of these efforts, project partner B4Plastics recently participated in the Touch Base event organized by European Bioplastics, delivering a 45-minute presentation on REPurpose's achievements in transforming post-consumer waste into recyclable elastomeric plastics.
The session provided an opportunity to showcase the innovative materials and prototypes developed throughout the project, highlighting their potential for scale-up and future industrial applications.
The prototypes presented covered three main application areas:
Even after its formal conclusion, REPurpose continues to generate interest and share its outcomes, helping extend the visibility and potential impact of the innovations developed through the project.

The session provided an opportunity to showcase the innovative materials and prototypes developed throughout the project, highlighting their potential for scale-up and future industrial applications.
The prototypes presented covered three main application areas:
- Building and construction: thermoformed and heat-pressed sheets for interior wall panels and flooring applications, alongside fibre-reinforced interior partitions produced through Tailored Fibre Placement (TFP).
- Automotive industry: injection-moulded, thermoformed and 3D-printed components, including car interior door handles, an airbag cover and a driver footrest.
- Sports and consumer goods: functional prototypes developed through 3D printing and injection moulding, including footwear components, bicycle accessories and tools combining rigid and flexible materials.
Even after its formal conclusion, REPurpose continues to generate interest and share its outcomes, helping extend the visibility and potential impact of the innovations developed through the project.
